Client

In OMTrader, a Client is a defined user within the system. Each client can have multiple trading accounts, with each account maintaining its own wallet and balance.

To start trading, a client must have at least one active trading account. This account is used to manage orders, track positions, and handle all trading-related activity.

Tip

Multiple accounts allow for flexibility in managing strategies, currencies, or asset classes under a single client profile.

Trading account

A Trading Account is required for any client to begin trading on the OMTrader platform. Each trading account is:

  • Linked to a specific client (user must exist in the system).

  • Assigned to a group, which defines permissions, trading conditions, and execution rules.

Account Credentials

Every trading account includes:

  • Username – Used to log in to the platform.

  • Password – Secure credential for account access.

  • Investor Password (optional) – Read-only access for monitoring the account without placing trades.

🔒 Investor passwords are useful for audits, third-party monitoring, or managed accounts.
